AAI facility is located in Aequs SEZ, the country’s first notified Precision Engineering Special Economic Zone (SEZ), spread over 250+ acres and 600,000 square feet of manufacturing area. It provides an integrated manufacturing ecosystem housing interrelated, co-located capabilities in precision manufacturing, sheet metal fabrication, assembly, forging and surface treatments for worldwide customers including OEM’s.

Aerostructures Assemblies India Pvt. Ltd (AAIPL) is a Joint Venture (JV) between AEQUS Pvt. Ltd (74%) and SAAB Technologies (26%) of Sweden. The JV was formed with an objective to develop a mutually beneficial assembly capability within India and has evolved as a strong supply chain player for sub-assemblies of detailed parts in India. AAIPL also specializes in manufacturing requisite tooling, jigs & fixtures. AAIPL is able to deliver over 70 percent in-country value add in some parts and support the Government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative. Currently AAIPL is also associated in producing Aero Structure assemblies for A321, A380 and A330 programs and Indian Space programs of ISRO. AAIPL has necessary Qualifications from AIPI (Airbus, Germany) & ABP (Airbus, UK) for Assembly processes. AAIPL is also GRAMS, AS9100 and OHSAS certified. As part of the assembly business requirement, AAIPL puts high emphasis on training its employees and has established robust training programs to ensure the required Product Quality levels are maintained.
