The Dubois County Airport Authority owns and operates the Huntingburg Regional Airport (KHNB), a facility three miles south of the City of Huntingburg in Southern Indiana along US 231. US 231 and Interstate 64 intersect three miles south of the Huntingburg Airport, while I-69 is 22 miles to the west.

From its humble beginnings as a privately owned grass-dirt airstrip in 1938, started by Frosty Jones, the Huntingburg Airport has steadily evolved into a full service general aviation facility.

In 1992, a 5,001 – paved runway was added to the airport. This improvement greatly enhanced its ability to handle increased air traffic demands. The Indiana Department of Transportation, Division of Aeronautics, reported a total of 14,628 take-offs and landings in a given year. The airport can accommodate aircraft ranging from single-engine airplanes to multi-engine jets.

On the ground is an array of services provided by the Dubois County Airport Authority (DCAA) as of March 21, 2013. Acting as the fixed base operator (FBO), the DCAA provides public refueling and hangar space. Dubois County Flight Services now focuses on aircraft maintenance, corporate aircraft management, aircraft sales and brokering, and aircraft leasing. The airport’s thirteen hangars currently store 30+ aircraft ranging from single-engine aircraft, turboprop aircraft and multi-engine corporate jets.
