Founded in 1964, Greening is made up of two distinct companies under the same umbrella: Greening Associates, Inc., and Greening Test Laboratories. From our home base in Detroit, we provide SAE-standard machinery and ISO-certified testing services worldwide.

Greening Associates, Inc designs and builds custom-engineered test equipment, including brake dynamometers, compressibility test stands, suspension spring and wheel fatigue test machines and an SAE #2 friction test machine. We offer custom design and engineering of electrical, electronic, hydraulic and mechanical test equipment.

The applications for our testing equipment cover a vast range of vehicles from bicycles the largest on-highway trucks as well as applications in the aerospace and railroad markets. We offer a complete line of testing fixtures and equipment for all dry and wet friction and clutch applications.

Greening Test Laboratories‘ services extend to independent contract testing. Our laboratory is ISO 17025-certified to provide assembly and performance testing. Commercial vehicle, light truck and passenger car brake and physical property testing are all available. We also offer wet friction testing on our state-of-the-art SAE #2 machine.

Our facility is the only one certified by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) as meeting the ISO/IEC 17025 general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. The Automotive Manufacturers Equipment Compliance Agency (AMECA) has also accredited us for test reports on brake linings, synthetic webbing and load binders, and trailer hitches.

Moreover, ours is the only lab in the world to conduct Dual Dynamometer Differential Effectiveness Analysis (D³EA®) for brake pads, drums and rotors. Our customized design and use of cutting edge technology is reflected in the quality of our products and our customer service, which is flexible and tailored to the needs of each client.

In addition to our Detroit headquarters, we have contacts and partners in China, Europe, India and South Korea to serve our international clients.
