ESSCO is made up of two manufacturing facilities, including a headquarters and 163,210 square foot manufacturing facility in Ayer, MA and a 30,000 square foot manufacturing and corporate space near Shannon Airport in County Clare, Ireland.  The latter, ESSCO Collins Limited, was founded in 1975 and offers identical design, engineering and manufacturing processes as ESSCO in the U.S. It also offers the full gamut of field services to better serve customers in Europe.

In 1998, L3, a Fortune 250 company (NYSE: LLL) acquired both ESSCO and ESSCO Collins Limited.  L3 is a top ten defense contractor in the United States a prime contractor in aerospace systems and national security solutions.
