OceanDataLab is a private research laboratory that was established in 2013 by long time Ocean Remote Sensing and IT experts working in close collaboration with the Space Oceanography Laboratory at IFREMER. Our main objective is to generate added value to scientific work, but also to add visibility and provide efficient tools to enhance scientific productivity when multi-sensor or multi-modal analysis is required.

Our laboratory, located by the sea, is providing the necessary inspiration to help us reveal the remaining mysteries of upper ocean dynamics.

The scientific staff at OceanDataLab has extensive expertise in all major ocean remote sensing techniques. Our IT experts are very experienced in the processing of large datasets and visualization techniques, using the latest software and hardware technologies. One of the key long term objective of OceanDataLab is to develop an open source platform for data discovery and processing. This platform is developed with special attention to fast development of algorithms and methods that are making extensive use of the synergy between multi-modal (remote sensing, in-situ, and model) datasets.
