Spokane Community College - Aviation Maintenance Technology
Spokane Community College (SCC) is widely recognized for several quality training programs which prepare students for entry-level positions in the aerospace industry. SCC is the lead agency for Air Washington, a $20 million Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration grant encompassing programs at 11 colleges across Washington state.
SCC offers certificates, two-year degree programs and related stackable credentials in a variety of programs, including aviation maintenance technology, CNC/machining, advanced manufacturing and avionics/electronics. SCC also offers industry driven continuing education in CATIA, CMM and welding. Most programs are taught on the SCC campus. The aviation maintenance program is housed at Felts Field Airport. SCC’s general, airframe and powerplant curriculum is approved by the Federal Aviation Administration and allows students to complete requirements in six quarters. In addition, state-of-the-art equipment and facilities are available in the Stannard Technical Education Building for specialized industry contracted training.
