Atlantic Aviation Group Training Academy

Category:

Since the start of the year, our Training Academy has been actively engaged in visiting local schools, offering career advice to students interested in pursuing a career in aircraft maintenance. Partnering with three schools in the Mid-West, the AAG Training Academy has provided students with the exclusive opportunity to undergo aptitude and practical assessments for our Cat A aircraft maintenance course. These assessments serve as a platform for students to familiarise themselves with the testing process, and successful results will be recognised should they apply for future courses. Our newest Cat A1 Trainee class commenced in February, with two additional classes scheduled for June and October at our Shannon location. Recruitment efforts for both courses are already underway. Our Training Academy will also be conducting two EASA Cat A1 Programmes in collaboration with the CDETB in Dublin in the Autumn.

In addition, our international office is bustling with activity as we are currently processing applications for our October intake of our BSc in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, in partnership with the Technological University of the Shannon.

We have delivered several aircraft type courses since the start of the year including our B737NG Full Type course which started in January with attendees from within AAG as well as external customers. We also held a B737NG General Familiarisation training course in March for new and returning customers.
