Embraer’s AAM spin-off, Eve Air Mobility, has made significant headway in developing its MRO infrastructure by establishing a network of maintenance and service providers, and it is leveraging Embraer’s service network in the regions from which it plans to launch. It signed an MOU in August with DHL Supply Chain to study supply chain needs for its eVTOL operations. The study will examine best practices for supplying operators and service centers with spare parts, including requirements around battery transport, storage and disposal. It will also study the distribution of parts and materials required for MRO. In 2021, Eve confirmed plans to use EmbraerX’s Beacon maintenance platform for aftermarket coordination of its eVTOLs. The digital platform will be used to connect part and mechanic needs.
