Major Expansion of Weldaloy Specialty Forging Facilities Underway
Weldaloy Specialty Forgings, an industry-leading forging company of titanium, nickel, and copper alloys, announced a substantial expansion of its facilities to accommodate the changing dynamics of and growth of its business. The new Plant 6 will house a 3,000-ton press, a larger ring roller, new forge furnaces, and an automated heat treat line. The new facility will more than double our capacity, allow for rolling seamless rings up to 120" diameter, and include a NADCAP heat treating, a 3,000-ton press, larger furnaces, and a state-of-the-art independent metallurgy lab.
The 36,000 sq. ft. expansion is in response to new contracts and increased demand for Weldaloy’s specialty forging services for the space, aviation and power generation industries. The expansion project will increase Weldaloy’s campus to 133,676 square feet at its location in Warren, Michigan. Driven by strong and consistent growth, the expansion increases production capacity and accommodates the market demand for larger parts. Demolition of an existing, smaller structure was completed during December 2021. Construction of the new expansion is expected to be completed early 2023.
