Velis Electro

The two-seat Pipistrel Velis Electro pilot trainer is the first electric-powered aircraft to receive type certification from EASA.

Based on Pipistrel’s Virus SW 121, the Velis Electro features Pipistrel batteries and propeller as well as a Pipistrel engine co-developed with two partners. The aircraft has a liquid-cooled powertrain.

The batteries store enough power for up to 50 minutes of flying plus VFR reserves. With this range, the aircraft offers low operating costs, low noise and low emissions during early phases of flight training.
