Based on the discontinued Canadair CL-215T conversion program, the CL-415EAF enhanced aerial firefighter program upgrades amphibious CL-215 aircraft with turboprop engines, winglets, finlets, higher operating weights, 1600-gal. tank capacity and a foam injection system. Additional upgrades include:
- Modern avionics
- Enhanced corrosion protection
- Air conditioned flight deck
- Humanitarian and special mission options
