Advancetech Aircraft Maintenance, Inc.
Advancetech Aircraft Maintenance, Inc. was established in 1984 by Charles A. (Chuck) Pittenger who began his career in aviation at the age of 17 when he enlisted in the United States Navy. In 2005, Chuck was honored with the Charles Taylor “Master Mechanic” Award recognizing Chuck’s 50 plus years in aviation excellence presented to him by the Federal Aviation Administration.
Initially, Advancetech leased a portion of the city-owned Salinas Municipal Airport hangar. In 1998, Advancetech initiated plans to build its own facility on the south side of the airport. In 2001, the plans became reality as Advancetech moved into its new family-owned 17,000 square foot hangar complex.
Following in Chuck’s footsteps, his son Bruce, took the reins from his father in keeping the dream alive of providing excellent service to his customers and turning his customers into friends.
Not only known locally, Advancetech is known nationwide by its customers, vendors, and business partners. Advancetech’s customer base ranges from Northern and Southern California as well as other states including Arizona and Nevada.
