This August, we marked National Heritage Week by reflecting on our proud roots in Shannon, the hub of Irish aviation. With a legacy of over 60 years, shaped by our two historic hangars, it was a chance to celebrate the people, stories, and milestones that have built AAG into what it is today.
Throughout the week, we shared memories from some of our longest-standing team members, including Derek Healy, who began as a trainee in1990 and has grown through multiple roles to Lead Engineer, and PJ O’Gorman, who started his journey in 1983 as part of the very first apprenticeship class.
From the evolution of aircraft and technology to the unforgettable social events and personal growth, their stories reflect the passion and dedication that continue to drive us.
As we look to the future, we remain inspired to carry our heritage forward, building on the traditions, values, and achievements that define us. Thank you to everyone who shared their memories and helped make National Heritage Week so special!
