ATR is working with Safran Landing Systems to address operators’ landing gear pain points and minimize AOG situations. The companies are consolidating field data and operational feedback and enhancing engineering assessment processes to improve responsiveness in situations requiring specific repairs or technical evaluations. The duo have already jointly delivered a time between overhauls extension from nine to 10 years for the nose landing gear, and ATR is considering whether similar improvements could be achieved for the main landing gear. ATR also provides a range of landing gear support services, including a partnership with Safran to provide customers with access to a pool of landing gear and subcomponents.
