The updated version of the SRIA provides the vision for the 2nd Phase of the Clean Aviation programme and outlines aircraft technological innovations proposed around four (4) aircraft concepts for integration and demonstration. These candidate aircraft concepts, addressing the SMR and Regional segments, offer the best potential to decrease net-greenhouse gas emissions down to an average of 86% thanks to an improved efficiency of no less than 30% from aircraft technological innovations at aircraft level and the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) and Hydrogen (H2). The SRIA outlines the approach to ensure that the technological industrial readiness of innovations achieved at completion (up to TRL 6 by 2030) can support the launch of disruptive new products and services for an entry into service by 2035.
