DES is a spin-off of the University of Bari’s engineering school, specialized in experimental mechanics and structural diagnostics. Our mission is the technology transfer of innovative solutions for structural diagnostics from University to Industry, through the use of non-destructive methods.

DES designs and implements data analysis and processing systems for the monitoring and maintenance of structures, plants, components and processes. We develop innovative technologies used to integrate instruments already in existence on the market by improving research results. Moreover, the company is renowned for the application of thermal methods and it cooperates with FLIR, worldwide leading manufacturer of thermal infrared cameras and state-of-the-art thermographic systems.
