EWATT was established in China, and hence uses both the English name EWATT and the Chinese name 易瓦特 (yi-wa-the). In both languages, the name is made up from two components: “E” standing for Electric as in e-mail and symbolizing the hi-tech solutions that have simplified our everyday life and “WATT” to cherish the memory of James Watt the inventor of the steam engine, which in turn sparked the Industrial Revolution and led to automatisation of the Modern World
