Adaptive learning platform provider Fulcrum Labs has developed a product specifically catered toward helping students prepare for FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) exams. Called AMPower, the platform was customized to align with the FAA’s 8083 Aviation Maintenance Technician Handbook and Airman Certification Standards. AMPower uses artificial intelligence to virtually emulate one-on-one learning with a subject matter expert, adapting to individual student needs and progress. Learners can choose how they engage with the platform’s content, such as watching videos and animations, reading text or practicing with interactive assessments. The platform uses gamification to enhance engagement while providing data analytics to help identify areas for improvement. The technology has improved A&P test pass rates, and we are looking at expanding the platform to airlines and MROs with their own internal training operations.
