Intek was founded in 1976, under the direction of Dr. Joseph Harpster, with the goal of integrating advanced technologies to solve complex measurement problems. In early 1978, a major oil company approached Intek with a flow problem. The solution led to the development of Rheotherm flow instruments: flow meters and flow switches. The Company has built a reputation for highly accurate and reliable flow measurement systems, capable of operating at low flow rates and compatible with most industrial chemicals and gases. Intek’s instruments and services help customers in a wide range of industries, including Power Generation, Nuclear, Chemical/Petrochemical, Pulp & Paper, Semiconductor, Consumer Products/Packaging, and Water/Wastewater.
