Our roots began in the automotive industry nearly a century ago when Jervis B. Webb adapted the forged rivetless chain conveyor for Henry Ford's first assembly lines, revolutionizing mass production. It wasn't too long thereafter when Daifuku developed a technical partnership with Jervis B. Webb. In 1959 Daifuku delivered the Webb conveyor system to Toyota Motor's Motomachi Factory, Japan's first factory to exclusively manufacture passenger automobiles.
