Based on the Airbus H155 (EC155B1), Korea Aerospace Industries’ light civil helicopter (LCH) will be the first civil helicopter produced in South Korea.
According to Aviation Week Network’s Aviation Daily, the LCH and the military variant, the LAH, feature:
- Upgraded blades and gearbox of the main rotor
- Safran Arriel 2L2 engine, based on the Arriel 2N. It has a new axial compressor, high-pressure compressor diffuser and high-pressure turbine material and dual-channel full-authority digital engine control
First deliveries are expected in 2023.
