Korean Air has developed technology to inspect aircraft using swarms of small drones, the first of its kind in the aviation industry. Four drones inspect an aircraft fuselage simultaneously, taking high-definition photos of pre-planned areas, which reduces inspection time by 60%. The technology uses a collision avoidance system and geo-fencing to maintain safe distances from surrounding facilities and prevent breakaways from the inspection area. Watch for the technology's official launch in 2022!
