Based in Leatherhead, UK, between London’s Heathrow and Gatwick airports, Starling Aerospace holds EASA and UK CAA Part 21J and 21G approvals for design, development, manufacturing, testing, and certification of interior modifications. While some aircraft interior services providers may rely on external agencies to navigate stringent regulatory requirements around such projects, Starling Aerospace's in-house certification status provides advantages such as positive cost management, faster turnaround times, enhanced quality control, and flexibility. Starling recently expanded its Part 21 capabilities by installing two Dalby Genesis Q spray booths and a separate composite and glue booth. Benefits of the new technology include advanced airflow and temperature control to deliver premium finishes, faster drying times, improved energy efficiency and space to work on a range of part sizes. Last year, Starling performed a comprehensive interior upgrade project for a Cessna Citation CJ operated by Naljets. This April, Starling acquired Pitch Aircraft Seating Systems, boosting its in-house seat manufacturing capabilities.
