We also offer professional development courses tailored to AMTs that support career advancement through teaching soft skills and leadership skills. The company has integrated advanced virtual reality into some technician training programs, using an aircraft digital twin to enable AMTs to engage virtually with systems, components and procedures. CAE recently collaborated with Bombardier to introduce modular training at its North American service centers. The modular training consolidates courses for an entire aircraft family that has similar components and features, which speeds up knowledge retention and solidifies learning. CAE is exploring expanding this modular training to other global MROs. CAE also recently rolled out a beta version of a new online booking platform that lets customers book AMT training courses online at desired locations and times.
